Kids having fun

The After School Adventures Program is designed for students at Consolidated School and Pre-K students that will attend Consolidated School for Kindergarten. Please read the notes below carefully. There are some new rules in place this year.

Registration is per day and we ask that you please register in advance for staffing and safety purposes. If it is less than 24 hours away, please call us at (207) 967-4304 to check availability.

General Information
  • KASA opens on the first day of school and will close on the last.
  • Your child will only be accepted on the days they are scheduled to attend school
  • We accept registration up to noon at the Recreation Office
  • The fee is $14 per day and a snack is provided daily. See General Notes for more detail about fees.
  • Payment is due prior to service unless a billing arrangement is established with the director. You may pay by credit card online; a convenience fee will be attached at checkout. Otherwise, please follow the checkout process to "print registration form", then pay with check or cash; no outstanding balances allowed beyond 30 days.
  • The program operates daily from 2:45-5:30 (our late policy is $1/minute).
  • We provide coverage on half days, and we run special programs on early-release Wednesdays and during vacations, excluding Christmas. These programs have seperate registrations. BE sure to check our webiste for these programs.
  • We do not operate on legal holidays or school snow days.

Additional Information
  • You must pre-register to aid our planning and staffing, but please no more than one month in advance. Consider registering each weekend for the upcoming week.
  • IF YOU ARE NOT PRE-REGISTERED AND YOU SEND YOUR CHILD TO THE REC PROGRAM, WE WILL SEND THEM BACK TO THE OFFICE FOR PICK UP. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PICK THEM UP AND THEY NEED TO BE AT THE REC PROGRAM, YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $5 ON TOP OF THE DAILY FEE. THIS IS FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE REC STAFF AND THE SCHOOL STAFF NEED TO KNOW WHERE YOUR CHILD SHOULD BE.
  • Once you have pre-registered, you must call us if your child will not be in attendance due to illness or other change in plans. We cannot credit back charges without this advance notice.
  • We are challenged to balance the activities between active and passive, competitive and cooperative, structured and freeform, educational and fun, etc. We spend as much time outside as possible; please always dress your child appropriately for the weather.
  • Friday is Pokémon Day! On this day children are invited to bring their Pokémon cards for some supervised trades, the opportunity to pick a few cards to add to their collection, and some fun Pokémon crafts and activities! (We recommend leaving any special cards at home - we do our best to supervise trading and make sure no unfair trades are made, but sometimes the excitement of the moment has kids offering to trade cards they otherwise might not want to trade).
