Zumba is a fun way to get in shape! ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. NEW! Yoga Sculpt Yoga sculpt is a high-intensity, strength-building workout that uses only your own body to sculpt muscles, combining yoga poses with strength and cardio exercises. A typical bodyweight yoga sculpt routine starts with a warm-up like Vinyasa flow and child's pose, then progresses to exercises like push-ups, lunges, and planks, and incorporates movements to elevate your heart rate, followed by core work and a cool-down stretch. It can increase muscle tone and definition and is suitable for all fitness levels by modifying poses. Held at the Kennebunkport Recreation Building, 20 Recreation Way (next to Consolidated School)Instructor - Jennifer DowlingPlease bring a yoga mat to class each week.Session Fee: $60.00 (5 classes)Drop-in fee is $15 per class. With over 20 years of dedicated yoga practice, Jennifer is passionate about sharing yoga with others.  She obtained her Buti Yoga Certification in June 2020, bringing a dynamic energy to her teaching. They will learn about the animal kingdom, both on land and under the sea. They will make mixtures and explore the science of motion and energy. They will also discover the technology that powers our modern world! Themes include Harnessing Heat, Lights-Color-Action, Under Pressure, Mission Nutrition, Optical Illusions, Bugs, Sonic Sounds & Watts-Up. Program dates are: January 6th-March 3rd (no class February 17th)Location: 20 Recreation Way - Kennebunkport Recreation BuildingProgram time: 3:30pm-4:30pm

In this 55-minute class, you will explore mindfulness and Yoga postures with Mindy Muse. Yoga is great for improving strength and flexibility as well as decreasing stress and increasing mind-body connection and self-awareness! Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat or beach towel as well as a beach towel prop to use for resting/relaxation.Walk-ins are welcome for $15For the safety of all, do not come to class if you are not feeling well.  Class is taught by Mindy of Mindy Muse Yoga. Topics include bee biology, hive management, equipment, and seasonal care. A dedicated session on honeybee pests, diseases and treatments will be led by Jen Lund, Maine's State Apiarist.
